Dr Cate Khursandi

Cate graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 and worked in mixed practice both in the UK and Australia for 8 years. 

She joined Bath Vet Group in 2005 and during her time with them undertook a RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Cate attained this in 2009, alongside the ANZCVS Membership in Small Animal Surgery.

Cate then joined and helped establish a successful peripatetic orthopaedic referral service for 8 years which took her to practices all over the South West. 

She moved back to Australia in 2020 and spent two years at the University of Queensland Veterinary Teaching Hospital as a surgery clinician, surgery tutor and occasional lecturer. Whilst employed by the university, Cate enrolled on their Graduate Teaching Course and was awarded an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in October 2022.

Cate has a wide range of surgical experience and enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery including treatment of canine stifle conditions, fracture repair and perineal surgery. She has a special interest in feline medial patellar luxation. When not at work, Cate spends time with her family, and cat called Chutney, and enjoys hiking, swimming and yoga.
