Following the Government announcement of the third national lockdown we would like to reassure you and your patients that we remain open and are continuing to see all emergency and urgent case. This includes same day referrals and the majority of referral cases in all disciplines. We will be following the recent RCVS and BVA guidance with regards to COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our clients and our staff, but at the same time aiming for the highest standards of patient care.
Routine referrals such as laparoscopic spays and non urgent outpatient imaging will be placed onto our waiting list, unless the referring vet believes there will be a negative effect on the animal’s welfare if not carried out within the scheduled lockdown period. We will contact clients as soon as restrictions are lifted, to arrange the earliest possible appointment.
We are currently operating a closed door policy and are not allowing clients into the practice. An initial history will be taken over the phone once the client has arrived and the patient will then be brought into the practice for examination. Where clients are uncertain regarding travelling, we can offer an initial telemedicine consultation to assess whether it is appropriate to see the client and patient during lockdown.
